Traineeship: The calm before the storm is over

A storm, a missing object and a different Mother's Day.

Eunice caused a stir in the media after the storm has ripped off part of the O2 Arena in London and the heavy winds caused a church spire to topple to the ground in Somerset. It was indeed scarry to witness a storm with such strength, but if you think this happened to be the most nerve-recking incident for me, then unfortunately, you are wrong...

Memories can not be robbed

Can you relate to the situation in which you are at home, searching for a particular item? It was a brand-new Microsoft Surface Laptop in my instance. I spent a reasonable amount of time looking for it in every room and corner, unsuccessfully. I even started to believe I was part of the police investigation team, so thorough and investigative was my search. About two hours into the hunt – by the way, my desperation was clearly noticeable -, my flatmate came home from work. He immediately realised the awkward vibe, asked what had happened, had sympathy for my situation but also could not hid a smile. “Perhaps you left it unconsciously at a place which you would not normally leave it?” Selfie of Sales Trainee Fabian HubmannHis question came with a funny undertone. Some moments later, he rushed down the stairs with a shocked face and his jaw widely open. His laptop was gone too!

It was the moment we both realised that the house had been broken in. Considering that it took us, let alone me, such a long time to even realise that we were robbed is more than sufficient evidence that the burglars worked professionally. Respect!

March 27th Is Mother’s Day In The UK, But Not In Switzerland

I remember very well, it was a Sunday morning, and supposedly Mother’s Day. I proudly rang my mam to congratulate her on being the best mother ????. Little did I know at that time, Mother’s Day in Switzerland was not before May 8th. Although my mother appreciated my endeavours, it was kind of embarrassing for me. We nonetheless had a lengthy and great exchange with one another. Hence my advice to every Swiss person, or in Switzerland living person, sharpen your pencils and remark May 8th in your diary for Switzerland’s Mother’s Day.
