How SIGA Supports Mental Health

Often, it is the small things in everyday life that strengthen our well-being: a good conversation, a short break, or shared experiences. That is why SIGA actively supports the mental health of its employees.

Mental Health Matters to All of Us

Mental health is part of our everyday lives. Professional challenges, personal changes, or health-related issues can all influence how we feel and how we navigate our daily routines. That is why we talk about it openly at SIGA.

Small Steps Make a Big Difference

Simple habits often have the greatest impact on our mental wellbeing: meaningful conversations, social connections, conscious breaks, and time for recovery. These small actions can make a lasting difference to our mental health.

Stay Connected

Open communication creates trust and strengthens relationships. A genuine “How are you?” can make a real difference. At SIGA, we encourage open dialogue within teams and among colleagues. These conversations can help us better understand situations and gain new perspectives.

Spending Time Together

Shared experiences strengthen team spirit. Whether it’s lunch together, a team event, or a spontaneous coffee break, these moments help build and maintain relationships. These moments create connection and foster a sense of belonging.

Pay Attention to Your Own Needs

By taking regular moments to pause and reflect, you can better recognize what gives you energy and what drains it. Helpful questions to ask yourself include:

  • What is giving me energy right now?
  • What is draining my energy?
  • Am I getting enough sleep and recovery?
  • What can I do this week to actively support my wellbeing?

Knowledge That Helps in Everyday Life

Mental health can be strengthened. To support this, SIGA provides internal learning modules. In the Resilience module, employees learn how stress develops and how they can build resilience. The module offers practical tools for handling challenging situations.

The Diversity module explores respectful collaboration and shows how everyone can contribute to an open and inclusive company culture. When people feel respected and valued, they can work with greater confidence and ease.

Support Is Part of the Journey

Not every challenge can be managed alone. In such situations, it can help to talk to someone and accept support.

With SIGA Cares, SIGA provides a confidential point of contact for personal and professional concerns. Care Agents listen, offer support during difficult times, and help employees find suitable professional resources when needed. All conversations remain confidential, and anonymous contact is also possible.

‘Sometimes it is enough to talk to someone who simply listens. Our Care Agents bring a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Anyone who contacts us will find a sympathetic ear, time to discuss personal concerns, and support in identifying the right next step.’

Stephanie Sommer, SIGA Cares Agent

Mental well-being deserves attention before challenges become overwhelming. That is why SIGA focuses on prevention, open conversations and practical support.

We encourage our employees, and you, to take care of yourselves and seek support when needed. Together, we create a strong foundation for long-term well-being.
