Why SIGA changed its logo

The new SIGA logo combines our Swiss roots with our international development.

What has changed and what has stayed the same

At first glance, you can see that the iconic SIGA logo remains, as it has long been a distinctive feature of our brand. Our founding year, 1966, is still part of the logo and highlights our 60 years of experience. But our development is far from over; on the contrary, we continue to evolve. These two elements mean that the new logo remains familiar while also being improved.

A new graphic element has been added, which has several meanings:

  • The red part of the logo is reminiscent of the Swiss cross and refers to our origins and roots.
  • The blue curve evokes both a piece of adhesive tape and refers to a dynamic construction phase and the reduction of energy losses.
  • The colors red and blue represent the airtight and windproof building envelope.

Swissness is and remains a central element of our identity. At the same time, SIGA is becoming increasingly international and dynamic. This internationalization is an important lever for realizing our vision of a world where buildings no longer waste energy. The new logo takes this development into account.

Why a new logo?

You may be wondering why we have taken this step.

For years, SIGA has been evolving dynamically, transforming itself from a company with a strong Swiss footprint into an international provider of solutions for airtight and windproof building envelopes. This growth opens up new opportunities, but also brings with it new challenges.

At the same time, thanks to our SIGA Management System (SMS), we are constantly improving our efficiency in Switzerland. Efficiency, technological development, and internationalization are not contradictory, but deeply rooted in our DNA.

This combination prompted us to rethink existing boundaries. We wanted to create a logo that honors our origins while reflecting our dynamism and international orientation. A logo that shows where we come from and where we are heading. For strong roots in Switzerland, combined with openness, movement, and the ambition to make the world of construction more sustainable on a global scale.

60 years of SIGA: A look back

  • Starting in the 1970s, when our imitation leather finishing tape was still our best-known product.
  • Through the 1980s and 1990s, when we developed the first solutions for airtight and windproof building envelopes, as well as repositionable carpets under the name SIGA Floor.
  • Until the logo where our current lettering first appeared with the Swiss flag flying
  • You are probably familiar with this logo from your construction site, as it has characterized our image for about ten years.

What does that mean for you?

What you need to know: we will begin the transition gradually starting in 2026. As we want to reduce waste at all levels, you will continue to see our old logo on products, brochures, and other materials for the time being. Only when all stocks are depleted will the new logo be completely visible.

The new SIGA logo marks the next logical step towards our vision: a world where buildings do not waste energy. We are delighted to start this new chapter with you.
